Go behind the scandal that rocked television and the world with Robert Redford’s true-life story of the scam of the mid-century! John Turturro is magnificent as Queens-born Herbie Stempel becomes an unlikely hero after winning on America’s beloved game show, “Twenty One.” When the network decides to bring in a more telegenic contestant, the WASP-ish Charles Van Doren (Ralph Fiennes), Stempel decides to take the show down with him, announcing that the game is rigged. Now the show has got to answer for its misdeeds and a congressional investigator is brought it to discover the truth behind America’s favorite game. Engrossing from start to finish, with incredible performances from Turturro and Fienes, this Oscar-nominated winner is the real deal – no lie!
