This is my happening and it freaks me out! Sex, drugs, rock n’ roll, psychedelia, melodrama, camp, and just crazy crazy fun – there is no other film that gives so much! The only film penned by Roger Ebert, and the only studio film of Russ Meyer, this rock extravaganza is a one-of-a-kind spectacular of cinematic excess. Only partially inspired by its predecessor Valley of the Dolls, Beyond is the Hollywood dream, nightmare, and wet-dream rolled into one, with one of the best on-screen bands (and soundtracks) in the history of film and wall-to-wall quotable dialogue and frenetic editing. An all-girl rock group finds fame, love, drugs, and drama when they move to LA, but success has its drawbacks, especially in the glittering city of the angels. A film so intensely groovy, funny, visually and sonically enthralling, you will never be the same again! Don’t miss your chance to rock out with these dolls on the big screen!
