The trip to Oz that traumatized an entire generation is turning 40 (just like us)! A much darker version of Oz than the Technicolor fantasy you’re used to, this Disney fever dream brings us to an even more dystopian Oz, full of creepy creatures, head-swapping royalty, rolling minions, and a whole host of delightful creations from the mind of Frank L. Baum. Dorothy (played perfectly by The Craft‘s Fairuza Balk), saved from a psychiatric experiment by a mysterious girl, finds herself back in the land of her dreams, and makes delightful new friends, and dangerous new enemies. So grab your lunch pail from the lunch pail tree, bring your favorite talking chicken, and see if you can help save Oz from the grip of Mombi and the evil Gnome King.

Please Note: The annual NELA Veterans Parade will have Eagle Rock Blvd. blocked during this screening time. Plan on extra travel and parking time, or opt for a ride share or public transportation.
