A crowdsourced, collaborative art project where Frasier fans remade the Seattle psychiatrist’s most meta episode… one frame at a time.
Our Frasier Remake is both a celebration of the original show and a challenge to the idea of endlessly remaking IP.
The iconic Season 1 Finale, My Coffee With Niles has been split into 185 sections, each roughly 6-12 seconds. A different artist is responsible for each section, remaking it frame by frame in a different visual style — animation, stop-motion, embroidery, puppetry, and more. Collectively the contributors’ work has been nominated for Emmy, Grammy, and Webby Awards; hung in museums; broadcast on Adult Swim, Nickelodeon, Netflix, HBO, ABC, Funny or Die, and Comedy Central; referenced in Senate hearings; named Vimeo Staff Picks; screened at SXSW, Sundance, Slamdance, Raindance, Just for Laughs, and more.
“Celebrate the impact Frasier had on so many different people and rediscover the magic that made us fall in love in the first place.” – Cracked
“Frasier Crane doesn’t know what to do with this tossed salad and scrambled eggs, but the animators over at Our Frasier Remake sure do.” – The AV Club
The screening will include exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and outtakes from the making of Our Frasier Remake as well as additional short films by the creators of Our Frasier Remake.
