Lose your mind with this hallucinatory thriller from director Adrian Lyne, which became a cult classic of the ’90s thanks to its atmosphere of pure dread and shocking ending. Jacob Singer (Tim Robbins), a postal worker in 1975 New York City, is haunted by his time as a soldier in the Vietnam War — including a hazy memory of being stabbed by an unknown assailant. Jacob’s fears soon bleed into his everyday life, as his friends and confidantes keep dying and he’s plagued by demonic visions and glimpses of other lives he could have led. Is it all proof that he saw something in Vietnam that the government would like to keep buried? Or is it something even more sinister?
