Join us in the afterlife for Albert Brooks’ imaginative and hilarious take on life and love after death. After a sudden death, Daniel Miller, an unexceptional and hapless ad exec, ends up in a way station between life and ascendancy to a higher journey into the Universe. In this bureaucratic limbo, the newly deceased are treated to free buffets but unencumbered by calories, but also judged for their life on earth, a pressure the nebbishy Miller is not comfortable undertaking. When he meets Julia, a remarkable woman with a ticket to the next stage, he finally starts to feel alive for the first time. But is it enough to seal their fate into the universe, or will he be destined to return to Earth a loser again?
