Lose yourself in the surreal nightmare world of Herk Harvey’s indie horror masterpiece Carnival of Souls.  The only feature film of the educational film director that brought us such classic Social Hygiene films like “None for the Road,” “The Snob,” and the best VD film ever made – “The Innocent Party,” Carnival of Souls is an atmospheric treasure of dread, suspense, and crafty-artistry that continues to influence horror over six decades later with it’s shocking twist ending. Mary Henry ends up the sole survivor of a fatal car accident through mysterious circumstances. Trying to put the incident behind her, she moves to Utah and takes a job as a church organist. But her fresh start is interrupted by visions of a fiendish man. As the visions begin to occur more frequently, Mary finds herself drawn to the deserted carnival on the outskirts of town. The strangely alluring carnival may hold the secret to her tragic past. With an abundance of eerie black and white imagery, hallucinatory scenes, and psychological trickery, you’ll want to get your tickets to this Carnival before it’s too late!
