Vidiots celebrates the life and legacy of the singular and iconic Shelley Duvall with a special screening of her debut role in Robert Altman’s bizarro bird-brained black-comedy Brewster McCloud. Brewster is an owlish, intellectual boy who lives in a fallout shelter of the Houston Astrodome. He has a dream: to take flight within the confines of the stadium. Flitting between a sex-crazed groupie, a mysterious bird-lady, and an insanely adorable tour guide (Shelley Duvall at her peak cuteness with legendary eyelashes) all while an avian serial killer stalks the streets of Houston, Brewster works to make his dreams take flight.  Altman regular Bert Remsen met Shelley at a party in Houston and introduced the non-actress to Altman who cast her nearly immediately and began her Hollywood career as well as a working relationship that lasted through seven films together.
