Queer best friends PJ and Josie are facing their senior year of high school hell. Hoping that this will be the year that they finally hook up with their longtime cheerleader crushes, the two stumble into an unlikely seduction style: They start a fight club. As more and more girls join in — including the objects of their desire — black eyes and bloody noses lead to a sense of empowerment in this hilarious and horny-as-hell comedy.

Director/co-writer Emma Seligman and star/co-writer Rachel Sennott do not hold anything back in subversive and slightly surreal Bottoms, the follow-up to their indie hit Shiva Baby. They’re joined this time by Ayo Edebiri (so good on The Bear), and together, the three of them have gifted us one of our favorite comedies of the year, a movie Rolling Stone called “a Heathers for this generation.”
