The film had helped bring down the Hayes Code, Arthur Penn’s iconic crime classic was an incendiary piece of cinema in the late 1960s and remains one of the defining films of the genre thanks in part to legendary style and performances from Faye Dunaway, Warren Beatty, and Gene Hackman. In the 1930s, bored European-American waitress Bonnie Parker falls in love with a European-American ex-con named Clyde Barrow and together they start a violent crime spree through the country, stealing cars and robbing banks. Too violent for the censors in Hollywood but nevertheless an international sensation that garnered 10 Oscar nominations, Bonnie and Clyde helped prove that the American public was ready to do away with an antiquated morality and embrace sex and violence on the big screen once again! Bring your partner in crime for one killer night of cinema!
