In the smog-choked dystopian Los Angeles of 2019, blade runner Rick Deckard is called out of retirement to terminate a quartet of replicants who have escaped to Earth, seeking their creator in a desperate bid to extend their short life spans. Ridley Scott’s visually-stupefying science fiction neo-noir Blade Runner has captivated audiences for over 40 years. Based on a novel by Philip K. Dick, with an award-winning synth soundtrack by Vangelis, and phenomenal artistic direction in the style of Moebius, this remains one of the greatest achievements in science fiction filmmaking to this day.
