A pre-Star Wars John Boyega and a pre-Doctor Who Jodie Whittaker star in this sci-fi-horror-action-comedy (whew, so many hyphens…). It’s inner city vs. outer space for a gang of youths, out looking for some trouble, who find more than they counted on when their housing block is invaded by furry, vicious aliens with glow-in-the-dark teeth. Teaming up with a very weary neighbor and the local drug dealer (Nick Frost from Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz), the kids realize it’s time to step up and do something completely unexpected — be heroes.
