Michael Showalter and David Wain’s gloriously ludicrous spoof They Came Together is a hilarious and ridiculous send-off to every meet-cute, will-they-won’t-they, on-again off-again romcom we’ve all binged in a moment of weakness. Comedy powerhouses Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd are adversaries in the dirty business of sweets, and while they fight their feelings, they can’t help but fall in love, because naturally the storyline demands them to. With exceedingly charismatic performances from the cast, ab-workout levels of laughs, and Wain’s signature absurdism and facility eviscerating a cliché, you’ll be so glad you came.
